New pop-punk band with familiar faces

After the breakup of blink-182, former members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have formed a new pop-punk band called Plus 44. Shane Gallagher and Shane Fairbaugh round out the band which will debute its first record "When Your Heart Stops Beating" on Nov. 14. Additional information can be found at b182.com.

Garza, Twins fall from wildcard lead

Twins rookie pitcher Matt Garza had a respectable game holding the Royals to just two runs over 7 innings of work but it was the offense which struggled. With the loss the Twins fell one half game behind the Chicago White Sox for the American League wildcard and 5.5 games back of Detroit for the division. After coming away from Chicago with an emotional series victory, the twins now find themselves in a different setting. The official story can be found at twins.
