Garza, Twins fall from wildcard lead

Twins rookie pitcher Matt Garza had a respectable game holding the Royals to just two runs over 7 innings of work but it was the offense which struggled. With the loss the Twins fell one half game behind the Chicago White Sox for the American League wildcard and 5.5 games back of Detroit for the division. After coming away from Chicago with an emotional series victory, the twins now find themselves in a different setting. The official story can be found at twins.

Garza has been solid with the occasional bad outing. You can't complain about him or Bonser. They've at least proven they are legitimate major league pitchers.
