Twins win division title!

Words can't even begin to describe what happened today for the Minnesota Twins baseball organization. In order to win the AL central crown, the Twins needed a win against a tough White Sox team and a complementing Tigers loss to a lowly Royals squad. Even after the Twins pulled ahead of the Sox 3-1 after Tori Hunter's two-run shot, the Tigers already seemed destined for the Central title, up 6-0 on the Royals. But leave it to those Royals, those pesky Royals, who took 2 of 3 from the Twins a few days back to pull out some last minute heroics. Heroics that made even the die-hard Twins fan a Royals fan, atleast for the moment being. The Royals rallied from a 7-3 deficit to tie the game at 7-all, and after a brief lead change (8-7 Royals), Detroit tied the game with a homerun and the game entered extra innings. Eventually the Royals pulled of a 10-8 victory of the Tigers. All I can say is: Swept by the Royals...haha. Plenty of more information can be found online at mlb.com
